I documented stories of women from India, exploring how they navigated rigid beauty standards and societal expectations. In their youth, many felt pressure to conform to ideals like fair skin or traditional roles, often struggling with self-esteem. Over time, however, they began to challenge these norms—finding strength through self-acceptance, education, and community. Their journeys reflect a powerful shift from conformity to empowerment, redefining beauty and identity on their own terms.
